This replacement upper vent latch is used to prevent the upper sash from sagging or as an accessory to an automatic sash lock in double-hung windows.

A stand-alone item, it engages into a lip of the upper window frame.
The simple latching design is easy to operate and automatically latches when upper sash is pushed up.
Increases window balance lifetime.
