12" Series 500 Spiral Balance

This is a Series 500 spiral balance, a popular balance that is used in both wood and aluminum non-tilt windows. It moderates the operation of your window sash to allow the window to stay open when raised.

• This balance has a 12" long metal tube with an internal rod that measures 12-1/2" in length.
• The strength you need should be indicated as a color tip at the end of your old metal tube. If you do not see a color tip weigh your sash on a scale and refer to the chart below.
• The tube measures 9/16" in diameter but it is considered 5/8" in the trade and houses an internal spiral rod with cross-piece.
• Can work for either the left or right side of the window interchangeably.
• Spiral window balances come fully lubricated and ready to be charged.
