Pella Locking Mechanism

The answers to others' questions on this latch replacement are insufficient. The metal end of door leaves no visible/obvious way to get at the latch mechanism or any screws that hold it in place - it's solid metal that runs top to bottom on the door. How do you remove the lock stile to access the mechanism?

This looks like the part I need! How do I get the old one out! it is not fully exposed & recessed inside door? Would I have to cut out wood on both ends to remove screws, insall lock then replace removed wood?

I need the replacement rollers for my sliding door and the latching mechanism. I have attached a photo of the model in the bottom right of the glass.

The key lock item no. is 89144 and vend part # is PCS7281XO. only need the latch that door lock hooks on too.
