Balance Assembly for Simonton Double Hung Windows.

Question

I have three double hung Simonton windows where the sash won't stay up. I'm pretty sure I need to replace the balance assembly. Can you help me figure out which part I need to order?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! Your balance shoe can be replaced with the 17/32" thick 15-199 Pivot Shoe. While it is not an exact match, we are confident it will work as these are commonly used in Simonton windows.

The compatible pivot bar is the 26-378.

This shoe is compatible with either the 1/2" wide Series 160 (used with the 15-150T triple support) or the 3/8" wide Series 165 (used with the 15-205 triple support). To confirm the series you have, you'll need to confirm the width of your coils.

You'll need to look for a stamp/marking on them to determine the correct ones for the replacements.
