Balance assembly

A home owner from Canton MI says:
I have 4 Simonton windows in desperate need of repair. These pictures show some of the damage on 3 of them.
If side doesn't matter I need 9 (4 left, and 5 right) balance assemblies. I also need 2 pivot bars. I think I found the 3 left, and 2 right tilt latches that I need. They're in my cart.

Thanks for writing in. This pivot shoe looks like our 15-199. It uses either our Series 160 1/2" thick Coil Balances, or the Series 165 3/8" thick coil springs. You'll need to remove your old assembly from the window and measure the thickness of the coil tape to confirm which Series you need. The Series 160 uses the 15-150T Triple Support, whereas the Series 165 uses the 15-205

Note that you'll need to replace each individual damaged coil spring. Individual coil balances are distinguished by their spring weight, or rather the actual weight they are designed to support. There should be stamps on the springs that tell you their spring weight. If there are none or you are unsure, please tell me the exact weight of the window sash these coil balances support, and I can work out the spring weights you need. Finally, this pivot shoe often uses the 26-378 Pivot Bar, but it's compatible with a number of others, so if you're uncertain please send us a picture of your old pivot bar removed from the window for reference.
