Thanks for reaching out to us! Based on your photos, I would recommend our 15-199 pivot shoe, 1/2" wide Series 160 coil spring, and finally our 26-243 and 26-244 tilt latches. Look these products over and let me know if you agree!

Thanks Tom

Pivot shoe and tilt latches look correct.

Follow up questions:
How do I find the lb needed for the coil spring? I was unable to identify anything on the broken springs.

How many coil springs do I need (one side of window)?

Do I need a coil support? Assuming 15-150D?

Do I need a pivot bar?

If there is no marking on the broken springs, then you will need to weigh your sash on a scale and divide that by how many springs support it.

As for how many springs that is, that's unfortunately not something I can answer. You will need to count what you have now. Looking at your photos it seems like you could have a triple coil system (3 on each side), but the only way to confirm is for you to count.

The number per side will also influence what kind of cover you need. 15-150D is only made for two 1/2" wide springs, but those are two details you still need to verify. Your next step should be to remove an assembly that's as close to undamaged as possible, measure the width of the spring to confirm that it's 1/2", and count how many are held in the cover.

Lastly, you only need to replace your pivot bar if it's in bad condition.

Thanks that helps. Actually I was able to find the printed weight on the old spring. It says 5# I don't see a 5# option. Should I go with 4.5# or 5.5#?

If you have a #5 stamp on your spring then you may not have the 1/2" wide Series 160. Instead, you may be looking at the 3/8" wide Series 165, which happens to have that very same option. I would triple check that just to be sure. Both are compatible with the 15-199 shoe.

The Series 165 also uses slightly different covers to accommodate its size. See our 15-204 double spring support, 15-205 triple spring support, and 15-206 quad spring support.
