Please confirm replacement parts.

Question

Hello. I opened a window earlier this week and the balance assembly on the right side of the window essentially fell apart so I'm trying to figure out/confirm I am ordering appropriate parts. I have a Simonton window. Included are the labels off window and pictures of parts. I have found some very helpful information on your website so figured it wouldn't hurt to confirm with your experts. The coil springs have #4.0 and 35" printed on them. One Pivot bar has a 1 embedded in the metal. The other one has a 5. The white plastic coil support is 4 5/8" long and angles to the window balance frame. Guessing by putting pieces together it's 1.25" wide. The Pivot Lock shoe is roughly 1.25" wide, 1 7/16 tall, and 1/2" thick. I can only find Pat No. 5,704,165 on the plastic.

1/2" Coil Triple Support: 15-150T

3.5 lbs Series 160 Coil Balance: S160-3

Thanks for writing in! Your coil balance pivot shoe looks more like our 15-199. Carefully look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing shoe to confirm that this is the right fit. I am confident these are the replacement shoes you'll need.

This pivot shoe is compatible with either the Series 160 (1/2" width) or the Series 165 (3/8" width) coil balance springs. To determine which series you have, double check the width of your coils. Given that yours are stamped with a #4.0, I believe you may have the S165-4, which is compatible with the 15-205 3/8" Egress Coil Triple Support. This cover looks more like the one you have here in the photos.

The pivot you've chosen is correct, part 26-378.
