Series 140 Quick-Tilt Balance Quote

I have a Simonton vinyl tilt window from 2004 with two broken balancers. I found one of the three springs inscribed with #4.0 and 35". I'm not sure of your parts will fit. I can send pictures if needed. I will need at least two balancers but will check my other windows before I place an order . Thanks!

Thanks for posting! The stamp from your balance coil leads me to believe that you may have an entirely different assembly from the Series 140. May I see a photo of the shoe from your existing assembly?

Here are some pictures of the balancer and the shoe (the part where the window sash would attach). The vinyl balancer should be screwed in place near the top of the sash and the shoe would, of course, move up and down with the sash but the vinyl has broken off where the screws should go.

Thanks for the additional photos. The Series 140 would not work to replace this balance assembly. The shoe you have is the 15-199 Pivot Shoe. To confirm that this is the right fit, carefully review and compare the dimensions.

The compatible pivot bar is the 26-378.

The support, covering your coils, appears to be the 15-205 3/8" Egress Triple Support. It is used with the 3/8" wide Series 165 Coil Balances. The coil marked with the #4.0 can be replaced with the S165-4 but you'll need to be sure to check the stamps on the other coils as well.
