Window coil spring

Thanks for reaching out to us. Before we recommend anything, can we see a photo of the pivot bar your pivot shoe engages with? That will help us determine which of our springs would be best for your repair. 

Thank you! You have an old Simonton pivot bar which leads me to believe this is a Simonton brand window. With that said, we recommend the 15-259 pivot shoe and Series 159 coil springs. The video below will explain the replacement process and the additional parts you need.

For new springs, you can use one S159-04 4.5-pound spring and one S159-06 6.5-pound spring on both sides of the window. This will total 11 pounds of support on each side, equaling 22 pounds of overall support. Note that you'd need the 15-256 double support since you'd be using two springs per side.
