Did not want to take apart but thought i would send pics. I have had 2 doors in 2 different houses that had this handle.. Cannot find it anywhere. Any help?

I thumb turn lock 40-089. I tried to install it in my door and the lock does not fit. The one sent is rounded on the top and bottom. The one needed is flat on the top and bottom. I did get the lock into the opening but it operates very stiffly and I am afraid I will break off the key. Is there a be ... (cont.)

The lock on the inside of the door has the word PADO at the top and at the bottom has the word LATAO. The inside of the lock plate mechanism measures 3/4" and the outside and inside plate measures 1".

HI will the 40-049 replace the papaiz lock it looks the same except the papaiz has a key for the out side and in side the lock i have is about 15 to 20 years old what is the differance between the 40-049 and the 40-089

Installation of new 40-049 lockset went well until I was installing the inside handle (last step!!). Handle would not fit into the rod in the outside handle - the rod "caught" on the casing of the set screw.
