Problem: The inside handle for a storm door became inoperable when the handle would just hang down w/o staying horizontal to provide latching to the door jamb plate. Went online and was told your Cmech #40-150 was a perfect match so I bought it and got it today. My pin is 1/4 inch and was told the 40-150 had the same pin(spindle) size. As you can see it is not as the 40-150 takes a1/8 pin. See photo, Can you match the Cmech handle? what are my options. My or ... (cont.)

Spring broke inside door latch causing latch not to operate correctly. Carch is 2 1/2 " high,1 1/4" wide, Hole centers 1 3/4", At present storm door has no readable markings. I believe by looking at the latch number (40-150) that I could possibly use it.

Brand is CMECH. Screw holes are 1-3/4" apart, spindle is 1/4" square. Just need the latch, the spring in mine is worn out and doesn't hold door shut when dogs jump on it. Storm door is 3/4" thick.

The spring that holds the handle horizontal is broken and the handle flops to vertical. Two sheet metal screws hold the spring box to the door. I'm looking for the spring box.
