I ordered this part for my storm door. It is the part i need but i guess over the years the design has changed some. The door i have is around 10 yeasr old. The inside latch is what has broken. The 40-150 has an internal diamiter of .188 and the old one is .333. Is there another inside handle that c ... (cont.)

I am sorry we do not have the ability to look up S/N numbers. We can look into providing a replacement for you but we will need a description of the door and the latches you are trying to replace. Please provide a photo if possible.

The lever handle for the door will not latch and hold the door closed. Spring mechanism is defective... the weight of the handle causes the latch to drop to the open position. Hi, i have a inside door handle that is the same as the one in the photo in the first question on this page, you said it works with a shim, do you have the shim needed? Also, do i need to replace the striker or latch catch part that is mounted on the door frame? Thanks

We have a forever storm door # 4653852. We are looking for a replacement handle.

I have had success changing your Forever door latch with the 40-150 inside handle. Unfortunately, it is not a straight forward replacement though. I needed to add a shim underneath the 40-150 handle during installation so that the handle latched correctly.

What size screw fits the 40-150 handle?

how do you measure the spindle. diagnal or across? does the 40-150 generally fit a larson storm door 4 post?
