70-030 Screen Corner Spring

I need to replace a tension spring that looks a lot like your 70-011, but the length I need is only 2-1/2". I don't have a lot of extra space, so 3" would be too long. Do you have one this size or know where I might be able to find one?

The window screens I currently use a plastic butterfly clip as pictured in the picture. They are pressed into the top and bottom channels. I need only 4 of the tension springs for two very old window screens that need to be rebuilt. Can I buy just four of these springs??? Also, do you have any instructions/tips for installing them in terms of how to cut the hole and how big the hole should be? Thank you!

For leaf spring 70-097, the inside length is (app) 3 1/16". I need to purchase springs for 16 window screens. There are no have pull tabs on my screens. For my screens, the distance between the insert squares is 3 5/32", and the insert square dimensions are 5/32" and 3/16", close to those indica ... (cont.)

We have cheapo aluminum screens, and the slot where a leaf spring would go is slightly less than 3'16 in. What springs can we use, and please indictate how they would be installed. Thank you. Jim

You might be looking for SWISCO product code 70-005, Wire Tension Spring. The top of the spring, angle portion, is what sticks out of the hollow screen frame. If this is not what you have been searching for, please send detailed images by attaching them to a reply post.

Are the 70-030 springs available in stainless steel?

Hi, For 70-097, the stainless steel leaf springs for window screens, the installation hole is described on the web page as being 0.165inch by 0.180inch (a rectangle). Is there a tool available to make this hole in the screen frame? Or, if not, what technique would you use to make this hole (without ... (cont.)

I have new vinyl windows and the screens just slip in. If you bump the screens they just pop out. I was thinking of adding some sort of spring to help hold the screens in. Which type of spring would you suggest.
