26-362 Sash Vent Latch

I have vinylmax E100 double hung windows installed in my house. The sash vent latch on one of my windows won't clip into the sash so I'm trying to replace it. Your part, 26-362, seems to be the type in my windows. Will this fit my vinylmax windows? If so, how do I install them?

Hi, I have several windows from Great Lakes Company. On two of them the vent locks are no longer functioning -- they can be pressed in but don't stay in. Do you have replacement parts for those? Overall length is 1 5/8 inches, width is about 6/8 inch.

Is abt 2" long and has a spring inside with a clear plastic insert over the spring. I ordered your item # 26-362 today, as it looks exactly like mine. It is called a Sash Vent Latch ?

I believe this is a safety feature . If pressed in and properly functioning the window can be raised. Those that are broken must be "held" in to raise the window. Those that are broken remain sticking out.

we have double-hung vinyl replacement windows in our house, and some have sash vent latches that look very similar to item 26-362, but as you can see in the photos, the dimensions are quite different (1-5/8" long, 3/8" wide). The problem with all these night latches is that they have popped out and wont go back in. I rarely flipped the windows to clean them on both sides . I don't know why it happened.
