16-028 Yale Stop

I bought a house with some windows that do not have balancers. The window glass is about 23" and the distance between the top balance hole to I think you call it a Yale catch is 23". Looks like a 1/2 " wide balancer would fit. I don't know if the top holes should have clips or not since they don't. ... (cont.)

Hello, I have replaced some of my sash balances, and all is working well. I notice that if I push the window up too far, past the Yale stop, the sash balances become disengaged when I pull the window down again. Are these stops intended to prevent the window going up too far? Thank you, D ... (cont.)

This is a new question. Good afternoon. I want to order the correct 1/2" channel balances and parts for my windows, but identifying some of them is a little tricky. The house was built in 1979. The balances look like either the 351 or 390 series, but i can't tell for sure. The lengths are 24" stam ... (cont.)
