Most of the spiral balances in my house in South Carolina are broken at the top, which looks to be made of plastic rather than metal. I'm almost thinking we just need to replace the whole lock assembly. Most of the other window parts were Truth - The black piece is 35 inches long. The handle looks just like one that a Swisco rep showed me but that little piece connecting the two doesn't look right.

The pin on this handle I believe broke so when you open it there's no issue but when you try and close the window the handle unscrews from recover. Looking for best options to repair. (Truth, Canada, 1980, T)
