My balance doesn't work on my american craftsman window. The part that fits into the pivot shoe is rusted away with part of it remaining in the pivot shoe. Is this replaceable and what parts do I need

To lock the door it is like a thumb knob that you turn. The turning knob was stuck and just swiveled around after a while and I couldn't open the door. I had to drill where the lock came out.
