I have a ANDERSEN LATCH MECHANISM, PS 3 PANEL latch on two of my sliding doors. Unfortunately, the latch is useless as a slight push on the door (pushing into the house, not along the slider) bypasses the latch entirely. Any suggestions?

I think it's going to need a recessed mount in the back. If the mount is on the flat edge of the inside of the sill I think the crank arms will be too high and interfere with the closing of the window. TRUTH HARDWARE 22.29.32.212.
