Sash are wood with center sash tilt. Balance are 32" long with cord loop to hook on center of sash. The spring in balance is 15" long. Part no. On balance is 32252

I have a set of double hung tilt windows with this brake mechanism. I haven't been able to figure out how to remove the balances, there isn't an obvious screw or release lever at the top. The windows are double glazed Duralite if that helps. I'm in San Francisco, also in case that is helpful. Thanks ... (cont.)

Part to open screen window that adjust to open broke

It's an old Anderson window, 727 then a 2, then D65 or 065/o65, then 0494. Hope the attached pic is sufficient, but I can take more pics if need be. Thanks in advance

Handle jams, screw loose at bottom end and won't tighten properly.
