I guess I forgot to take any pictures of the trim that covers this mechanism. Here are the photos of the mechanism as of right now. The only number on it is a Patent #5,353,548 it is on both sides. the windows are going on 20 years they were ordered through some fly-by-night company all those years ago. The part looks like a S-161 with the end of it looks like the S-180

I have enclosed a lot of pictures. My latch easily pulls out after removing the two screws. My screws go through the latch and are secured into the wod core of the door. It looks like the existing holes can be used to drill through the rest of the door and new longer screws could hold the locking me ... (cont.)

We had 13 double hung Owens Corning fiberglass windows, model FDH, installed in 1995. The manufacturer no longer makes them and the installer is out of business.
