block & tackle channel balance marked "27 4 NM" and "BSI" or "BSL" across the top. this balance is near impossible to move along the slide. I need to replace it. would I have a choice of channel balances that would allow less force to be used opening (pulling up) the lower sash?

26" long 5/8" diameter. Wooden window frame probably built in the early 60s. Not sure if it is a block and tack, spiral, or channel type. Fits into groove on side of window. This is from a bedroom nightstand which l bought from Oscar Huber back in 1992. The old bracket is stapled to the back of the drawer. Do you have this part and it made so l can fasten it back on without staples. RONTHOR REISS CORP. R-40-28.

Shoe for coil balance appears to be shattered from someone forcibly removing sash from window frame. The window appears to be similar to a Metal Industries but the decal is marked "Price Rite Homecenters inc". This balance is unmarked as to weight.
