For an in-swinging door, does this keeper mount on the outside of the door frame (so a visitor sees it before opening the door, and where it may be exposed to weather), or inside of the door frame (so the inhabitant sees it before opening the door, and it is out of the weather)? It is my understanding that the handle should spring back to its original position.
