Hi. Can this be used for an in-swinging storm door as well? I am looking to replace mine. I need a 1 1/8" thickness for door that opens in. Doesn't have to have a bolt lock - just be able to turn to open and lock in place. Thanks.

Our screened enclosure was built in 1996. The door swings open to the inside, so I can't find anything compatible that won't hit the door frame on the outside. It was installed backwards. Thanks for your help.

I have the in swing 40-028 door latch with lock cylinder that I bought from you in 2008. The inside door handle broke off. If I buy a new door latch from you can I use the key cylinder from the old one with the new handle? I believe you no longer make the key cylinder.

40-028 is for an in-swinging door. The door I have looking at it from the inside of the home is hinged on the right side and opens in-ward from the left side. Will the 40-028 work for this application? Wayne

I am looking for this latch, but mine is 2 inches instead of 1 3/4. Would the the 1 3/4 work? Or do you have the 2 inch latch? Jay

can you prevent the 40-028 in-swinging door handle set from latching, for a temporary basis, so that our dog can get out easily?

I purchased two of your latches to be mounted on my new screen doors. The doors will be mounted "in swing". When the doors are closed, the surface of the door frame will be flush to the door jam. I assume that the keeper will be mounted on the surface of the door jam and there will be a taper on the ... (cont.)

Can the 40-028 be installed on either a right or left in swinging door? The picture shows one way but the directions show the other. I am hoping the latch flips so that it can be either way.
