Hi, I have an old patio door, original to the house, which was built in the 60's, old untempered glass, very heavy, but nothing like an Anderson in terms of sound proof or efficiency. I recently purchased product 82-005. The mounting holes are perfectly in alignment with eachother however the width is not as accurate as I would like it to be for a perfect fit. The locking part of this handle has been missing since I bought the house. Can't find a new one. Not many numbers on the door or handle the only part number I see is the sgd-30 on the gold sticker. Any help will be appreciated

The latch broke on my sliding door handle and I am wondering if you recommend the 82-262 or another model. My guess is that the doors are original to the house, so probably 1958. I am trying to find another handle/lock for my mothers sliding glass door. there is something broken inside of the latch and sometime when she shuts it, it will lock and then she is locked out.
