S500-20 20" Series 500 Spiral Balance

Restoring late 1930s windows with tube balances. The balances are secured to the sash on the bottom of the sash.

Please help id parts needed to repair/replace channel balance for two single hung aluminum windows. Thank you!

I have 1950's wood windows with integrated aluminum jamb liners and spring balances that run inside tracks in the jamb liner. I'm replacing the aluminum jamb liners with vinyl ones and need balances that will work. The windows are double hung and each sash is 10 lbs.

I have an old wooden double hung window. The spring balance on the bottom sash is broken on one side. I need to replace the balances. I need some window balances for a unique window. The round top is 21" up the side and weight is 20lbs. The square sash is 31" and weight is 22lbs. Note arm at bottom of spring. This is screwed to the underside of the sash. Top of spring is just screwed to the top of the frame. Windows are from about 1952. Weight of sash is 7 1/2 pounds. Length is about 20 inches and the diameter of the spring shell is 5/8 inches. All as noted in the pictures. ... (cont.)

I'm replacing balances on windows installed in the early 1970s. They are 5/8" diameter and the tube is 20" long. The choices I have are red and blue for the tip, but it looks clear/white to me. Is there a white tip choice for the S500-20?

I'm building a few sets of double hung windows for a current project. Because of the size of the unit the sash will only be 1 1/8"thick, and fairly small, roughly 16"x22".
