S600-18 18" Series 600 Spiral Tilt Window Balance

My window sash weighs 17 pounds. I think the old ones are red on the top sash and blue on the bottom sash. The sash weight seems to be on the upper limit of the red. Would you recommend the blue or red? 18 inch long by 5/8

Will the 9/16th spiral replace the 3/8th ... got the 9/16th looks like I need the 3/8th
