S600-29 29" Series 600 Spiral Tilt Window Balance

The length,(the best I can tell from measurement of the broken spiral balance)I need to replace is 28.5" Should I order a 28" or a 29" spiral length from Swisco? We look forward to your speedy reply.

We have already recd your tension tool. We would like to order a set of spring balances, I think the series 600, 29 inches, red nub. Also two pivot shoes, the current ones measure 1 1/4 x 2 x 19/32(?). (Any advice on how to adjust the pivot bar setting so that the shoes are not damaged when the wind ... (cont.)

My spiral balances have been replaced at least once by the previous owner and the tip color is red. However, the windows measure 41"x30" which makes them larger than normal. So do I want the green or black tip S600-29 balances?
