I purchased the 83-040 replacement handle. The latch mechanism is riveted into the OLD operating handle (the slider handle on the interior of the screen door, and the one I'm trying to replace). Hi, hope you can provide a replacement handle for our screen door. From the outside, it latches to the right side as depicted in pic 2 above.

Re door latch 83-040.. can you tell me the length of the little silver latch itself and how far it extends past the handle once installed. It looks longer than all others that I have looked at, which is what I am looking for. Thanks!
