Need Two Sided Latch

I cannot get the screw to go into the slider and latching piece. Also the screw to secure the handle to the screen frame. Thanks Ernie

I bought the 83-040 latch. How do you fasten the metal latch to the sliding lock? Please explain as nothing seems to hold the metal latch into the sliding lock. Thanks.

At least 30 years old. I think the manufacturer is Viking but I am not positive. No part numbers or identifiers on any surface. 2 9/16 inch hole spacing. Appears to be very close to your part number 83-040.

Can't find this handle anywhere

The latch and keep are missing from my handle. There are no identIFYING marks or numbers. It's from a French door.

I have an Acorn ??? sliding screen door that has a plastic broken latch which I what to replace. The Latch is two pieces that sandwiches over the door frame. Hi Swisco, we want to lock both screen door but we can´t with the latch & pull system we have installed (see pics). We ask you please if you can help us with what would be a system to lock both screen door or if we are missing any part. Thanks

Hello - I recently purchased the 83-040 for my patio door. The handle with the latch for the lock did not come with a snap on button/screw to hold the latch in place. Am I missing something? Thanks, Linda

This is from a 60-year old rental house that we manage. We don't know if the door is original or replacement. Overall height of the handle is 4-inches. Mounting holes are 3.5-inches center-to-center. This patio screen door is the original that came with the Kolbe patio door. The distance between the screws on the latch is 2 & 3/8 inches. I can't find a replacement latch. Also, I cannot understand how to get the old latch off the frame.Some help in replacing the rollers would be helpful as well. ... (cont.)
