Product Description
This is a Series 775 channel balance for tilt-in windows. It moderates the operation of your window sash using a specifically calibrated spring and pulley system that allows the window to stay open when raised.
  • This balance has a 29" long metal channel.
  • Comes fully assembled with a 19-036 top mount screw support and a bottom shoe called a wedge, available in 1" or 1-1/4" widths and will be ready to install out of the box.
  • The width of the metal channel measures 9/16".
  • The strength you need should be indicated as a stamp or imprint on your old metal channel. If you do not have a stamp, or cannot match it up to our options, weigh your sash on a scale and refer to the chart below.
  • Can work for either the left or right side of the window interchangeably.

*This information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
Helpful Tip!
This part does not include new fasteners. Do not throw away your original screws, you will need them for the installation of your new part.
Good Idea!
For best results, replace window balances in pairs (though sold individually). An old balance will overwork a new one, causing faster wear and uneven operation. Paired replacement ensures optimal, lasting performance.
Helpful Tip!
The stamp option is a code that indicates how much weight a pair of balances can support. You can use the stamp on your original channel balance as a reference in most cases, or you can weigh your sash and refer to the chart above. If your sash's weight falls outside the weight ranges listed on that chart, or you are still unsure how to proceed, ask our experts for help.
