Hello, I need a replacement for this window balance. The metal portion of the balancer is 26 5/8" There is a stamp, looks like 26 4 0L (bsi)

Is there a way to adjust the tension? When I unlock the window, it opens itself all the way.

They are all the same and the only one I can find with a part number is 45251. I don't know if this is left or right. I will need to order both. What is the part number for the companion (L or R)45251? Thank you!

My original (broken) has a stamp on it "2140" and I have looked at some other websites that indicate the stamp is for sashes that weigh 15-23 lbs.
