I have several Milgard window lock handles that have broken off of our window thru the years. I'm looked for replacement handles or do I need to replace the whole mechanism?

All of the windows in our house have cracked gazing on the bottom of the windows. The glazing is very brittle and when we try to remove it is take a picture the glazing just breaks off. Replacing 10 window balances for 5 windows. First attempt followed all the steps from videos and closed window. On both sides the spring/balance disconnected from cylinder.
