Looking for replacement

Looks like I'll need the small 6' Sliding Door Track Cover. But our door has twice the travel length, because it is designed to fully open into a recess in the frame. So I'll need about 8 feet. Can I just buy two pieces and cut the second one to meet up with the first?

Overall cross section dimensions 3/4" x 1/4" 5/8" width exposed when installed.

Can you help me find replacement Sash Balancer (up/down sliding window)? The string (attached to the clip) in the old balancer broke.The stamp on the back reads: 86 26-4 CB5 CMC-1054. I think the length is 27 in ("26-4"), but I am not sure about the weight and other parameters.
