We have Patriot tilt windows. top window stationary. They are about 18 years old. We live in an adult community in Lakewood, N.J. and we all have the same windows.I have successfully replaced several pivot shoes but I find it very difficult to attach the metal twisted rod to the shoe with pliers. This is off a 24 year old non-tilting window sash. It is made of aluminum and measures 1-5/8" from top to bottom. It measures 1/2" from the outside of the longest side to the end of the cross piece. (The lower cross of the letter "F" as seen from the side.) Manufacturer is unknown. ... (cont.)

I have just removed my pocket door following the instructions on the internet for the 23-176S. How do I reinstal the door? Do I have to reset the release mechanism somehow?
