Can this be changed to a folding handle?

Replacement window balance
I have 2 windows that have bad balances. They were crumbling but these are pics of the most intact ones. The stamp says ub 28d. The channel is 9/16" x 29". The windows panel is 35width 32high.

I need to replace the coil spring balances in my American Craftsman ( Home Depot) windows from 9/2002. I measured the width and best I can read is they are .530" in width. They are 7 pound springs. What would be the best fit balances? Thanks George
