39-097 Pella Window Crank

My crank mechanism seems very similar to part 39-097 except the bracket that attaches to the window itself does not match dimensions in photo on your website. The base with gear mechanism and the arms all seem to be same dimensions as listed in on line photo.

What's the difference between product code 39-097 and 39-175 that warrants doubling the price? Unfortunately I think I require product 39-175, but the only difference I see is the dimension of the piece that screws to the window. Am I missing something?

Please explain how to replace the 39-096 and 39-097 in an existing mounted window? Do they just side in and out? Do I have to some how dismantle the bottom molding (without breaking it) to access the cranks? Please advise

I believe that our windows are Pella casements from the 1970's, and we need a new crank for one of them. The part that attaches to the sill appears to be identical in size and appearance to the 39-097, but the rest of it is different. I have attached an image that clearly shows the part that is di ... I am putting in blinds and need to replace my crank handles with t-crank handles. On the inside of the handles in the picture it says 7138 and X429. I was wondering if 39-227B would fit. Also I need to replace one of the actual cranks and was wondering if 39-097 would fit. Thanks. ... (cont.)

i think the 39-097 is the part i need....window glass 24 1/2"x 36 1/2"...mid 1970's....how do i remove the old one to check the measurements...thanks
