Window crank

The hexagonal crank base broke off into the base. Can't figure out how to remove the base cover or open the window which glass is broken

I have two awning windows and one of them had the handle crank stop working. Pictures attached show the working window.

These older handles are getting very loose and I was wondering if they make any replacements for them or if we have to replace the whole crank system. the plastic bushings where the cranks go in have worn some but the metals on the crank and unit are ok.
