Is this part of the handle made of metal? The current one that I'm replacing is made of plastic, which is why it needs replacing. Would your part #40-145 also work for this application? Hi, we ordered a replacemant handle, but cant figure out how to install it. See uploaded photo. We bought the white one from Swisco to replace the gold one. All the measurements match, but the shaft does not seem to fit. Can you help us figure this out? Thanks, John and Mary

40-150, What does the latch close onto? The old latch used a spring loaded vertical bar about 2" long and about 1/8" in diameter. Is it supposed to be solid? Thanks

I think it?s an Andersen door. The brand says The Forever View.. I cant make out the full serial number but it is A-1523 Ibut it may be truncated. U.S. patent number looks like 5.039.246

I am having hard time finding replacement handle for forever view storm door. Specs- outside handle total fixture is 8 inches long with the two outside screws on end being approx 5.5 inches apart. Thanks !!

I pulled this off a two-family. The handle goes limp and it can hang up tenants trying to get it. "Cmech ws the only marking. The "posts" on the back of the handle are 1.25" on center spaced.
