I am going to replace the aluminum screening in my anderson screens with pet resistant screening. The pet resistant screening is twice as thick as the aluminum. What size spline do you recommend for use with the pet screening?

I have an Anderson patio screen door . I have tried to use the big box spline but it keeps coming out. I was reading that you need a special flat type. I think your foam would also work should I order 59-250?

I have been trying to replace metal spline on Anderson screens but struggling. I think .250 is right (i have .230 just a bit too small). I don't want to end up with another pile of spline that wont work. Do you know if .250 or .270 is a better choice?
