Necessary to remove pins before rescreeening?
Greetings, I am preparing to re-screen my window screens with pet-proof screening. All my screens have these plunger pins. My question is, do I need to remove them before re-screening, and also, how do I do this? Or, can I re-screen on top of the pins rather than attempt to remove/replace them? ... (cont.)

What is the purpose of the screen plunger?
What is the purpose of the screen plunger. I was locked outside and neighbor took off the screen in 1 second and was in my house. I was happy to get inside, but this was frightening how easy it was to be robbed. My window was not locked and he pried it open also in seconds.

A number of these have broken off and have no ability to hold the screens in place. I was told by a clerk at Lowes that your company could h ... (cont.)

Door Screen spring pins
I can't think of another name for this item except to say it is spring loaded inside the frame and is a pull pin. The thing comes from an old Pella screen for a convertible storm door.
