I have a glass sliding patio door with a broken pull it is made by dns industries with 16 inside pull stamped on the inside. I ordered the 82-008 lock from you the measurements seem to match,will this work as a replacemeny ?

Are standard sliding doors Less than 1 1/8 thick? Measuring my door with digital calipers, I get 1.172" thick, just shy of 1 3/16". I picked up a big box store replacement and it barely fit (needed longer screws), key lock doesn't contact, and striker mechanism is so flimsy it bends when lock ... (cont.)

I could not find any markings and I can't explain it very well. The broken piece in the photo attaches to the inner frame (where the door closes). The lick mechanism is still intact inside the door. I have three doors with locks and their design is a pain the neck. Any suggestions? ... (cont.)

Installed in 1984. The latch parts on the left and right doors were removed in order to install a dog door panel. Then they were lost.

On the 82-008 mechanism can the lock (latch) be moved to the left instead of the right.

Your Swisco 82-008 model screw distance works for my door. I need a front/back plate width of 7/8 inch (not 1) and door depth of 1 inch. Does your item match this?
