I purchased key lock 82-310 and have drilled a hole to insert the new 82-310 key lock in the outside handle. The opening in the existing latch mechanism for the existing latch lever tailpiece is a slot. A square opening, rather than a slot, is required to accommodate a 82-240 type latch lever tailpi ... Issue with our door: keyhole is insanely tight and it's getting worse and worse to the point that I feel like the key is gonna break So I'm looking to replace the key hole on it or the entire handle set Please advise for the right part number.

Hello, my sliding door cannot be locked and the lock seems to be stuck. The lock's parts number is PAT#: 6.264.252 I want to replace the lock but not sure which product is a good match. Can you please identify my lock and parts. The mortise section is definitly broke. Im not sure if replacing the entire lock and mortise assy is cost effective due to it being 20 plus years old as per the previous home owner...? Please price it both ways. I am trying to install this lock and need assistance. Do I have to cut the part that I've circled in my photos, if so how do I cut it ? It is too long and everything else on the door fits great.
