Hi, Sliders were installed in 1972 (brand unknown.) They work perfectly, have never leaked, the frame is larger than today's "standard" sizes, but the lock on the handle is broken. Tried a "universal" handle - the affixing plate was too short. Tried a $50 handle that had the right size affixing pl ... (cont.)

Hi, They are 15/16" wide and exactly 7" tall.. Doors are 45 or so years old. You can see a contractor tried to retrofit something and it didn't work. I need both a left hand and right hand one. Thank you, Bill

Can you tell what brand of sliding door this is and if hardware is still available? The house is a Mid-Century modern built in 1968 and we are trying to keep and refurbish a lot of the original items in this house. just bought an apartment with an old patio door. The black bar part of the handle falls off when pulling on the handle, so i was hoping to get a new handle instead of replacing the whole door.
