Hi- I have a 23 year old home with custom single hung windows with sash window channel balances. The "stamp" on the originals look like this, depending on the size: #2740 28 or #2790 31. I have several of these that have broken (the cord is broken). They are stamped 2730, and they are 1/2 (9/16} wide. The plastic guides (ends) have broken, and I want to replace the whole guides (with ends). Your pictures appear to have the complete deal, guide and plastic ends. Other places I've ... (cont.)

This 28" in length, I believe that it is 19-002 top guide, with a 15-005 winged shoe. It is stamped with 2730

Hello I need to fix hard to open/close Sunair window 28" channel number 2740 AF BSI. Please see pics and advice on various components. For some the string is broken, do i need to buy the whole channel or should I replace the string inside the channel? Thanks Gagan

Swisco, I ordered new balances for all of my windows (order S350-28) and replaced all. After a couple days one of the new balance cords snapped. I ordered a new one and paid for it. Hello, I need to replace the balances on my windows. I have 2730 and 2740 balances, length is 28". I've included pictures of both the top and bottom of each balance.

I am replacing a Caldwell Ballast/sash product. I believe I have I.D.'d it as your part number 350.The length stamped on it is 1 inch less that the length I came up with using your measuring diagram which is basically the metal portion. This channel balance is for a non-tilt window. It is 1/2 inch in width and 28 inches in length. It says 27 4 HO Caldwell. Thanks Donny

The metal portion of the balance is 27" long. I need to order a pair to replace failed units in my son's home (San Jose, CA).

Hello, I have had 3 of the 4 channel balances from this order fail. First one lasted 2 days after I installed it, 2nd one maybe a week, and third one failed almost immediately after installation--just tonight. Please see attached pictures. Need to find replacements balance for my window. One window had the stamp on it, but both balances of this one doesn't.

I am replacing side channels. I need 28 inch metal size + shoe and top. What stamp should I buy? I have a Kauf man and Broad installed installed windows. The stamp on it shows "27 4 HP Caldwell" Please let me know. Thanks, -Raj
