82-055K Keyed Handle Set, Acorn

Can this KEYED HANDLE SET Product Code: 82-055K be used in a 1" thick sliding glass door? I see it is designed for a 1 1/4 " thick door. Also, I need for this to be able to lock from the outside, so keyed, but again, just 1" thick. Will it work?

I recently purchased a replacement Acorn door handle, 82-055. The size and dimension are fine, but I cannot remove the old handle. I can unscrew and remove the "inside" part of the handle, but I cannot get the "outside" part of the handle off. I have tried a phillips screw drive and I have tried s ... (cont.)

Inside is stamped 24.

The handle that's broken is 5-1/2" long, 1" wide. It is dark dark brown and is 3-1/2" in between the middle of the two screws that go into the door....
