My parents are old and cannot fathom the idea of replacing their entire storm door (purchased 2015). The spring seems to have broken in the top part of the mechanism that resets the orientation of the handle. Can I put this part or the entire lock kit?

My current lock automatically locks when door is closed from outside. I had questions regarding my spiral balance. I believe it’s 18 inches, 5/8 with orange tip. I do not see how it was hooked in to the sash since both spiral balances were already hanging loose. Both ballasts on my window have gone out. It looks like hook and tackle and is marked with numbers " 28 3 BJ", 29" long not included plastic attachments on either end. The locking mechanism within the handle needs replacement, I can't find a model number but I know that it's a masterpiece sliding patio door.

I have a silver line window that I can't seem to find the replacement parts for.
