Here is the picture of the mechanism. there is one strap that should be attached by the tiny screw (pictured). if you can send me the screw (it's broken) I could try to re-attach the strap - but so far I cannot find where it attaches to the frame!

Hi, this is a piece of rubber that sits on the metal edge of my window, when I take out the window I can see it. Its part of the weatherstripping. Looks to measure about 1/4" x 3/8" and I have 37" of it. It's not very flexible, more like plastic than rubber.
