The ferrule acts as a bearing that the hole in the end of the arms attached to the bottom of the window rotate around. The ferrule is broken so the arm attachment point is loose and gets hung up on the broken ferrule and you can't get the window closed without a lot of manual manipulation. The scr ... (cont.)

This is for a casement window. Unknown manufacturer. The sash lock shown is broken. in pic 3637 you can see the handle. In Pic 3641 and 3642 you can see where the handle is broke if you look closely.

I ordered (1) 58-161 : Gray Pile Weatherstrip, 11/32" x 11/32" and it tends to fall out of the groove between the doors. What is the correct part #. The old wool did not have a hard backing and the T was thicker than the purchased thin plastic backing. I would like to order an 6+ foot strip soon ... (cont.)
