39-146 / 39-147 better design available?
I have casement windows throughout my house. All but two are 32 years old and work fine. Two were installed when I did a remodel using Anderson Perma-Shield. Neither has been used much - easily fewer than 100 operations, but both operators broke for the same reason. The Anderson design uses ... (cont.)

Replacement window cranks
We have a bay window in our living room and the cranks are not working. The home was built in the 70's and I do not know the brand of the window. Is there a way to find the brand name and do you have replacement parts that might work? Al

Andersen window crank identification
I need to replace a broken crank. 1361318 is stamped on the 4.5" arm. An R (for right?) is stamped on the arm under the number. From outside the hinges are on the left so in theory I should need a left crank. But when I search for the part number, your site gives me the oposite opener or a right ... (cont.)

casement window operator, left or right?
Carefully match up the operator you are replacing to the pictured 39-147 right hand or the 39-146 left hand. If you still have trouble figuring it out please feel free to send us a photo of the operator.

window will not open
My Andersen window will not open. If you give the window a little push from closed position it seems to work fine.

casement operator
Is your handing on casement operators 39-146 & 39-147 as looking at the window from the outside? In other words looking at the window from outside a LH would hinge on the left side and a RH on the right side. Do the crank operators come with screws? Thanks, Bruce
