I have 12 Malta windows from the 1990's. The small plastic parts that hold the pully/wheels for the balance spring strings are crumbling. I am hoping to retro-fit a balance into the jamb fit liner. No manufacturers ID or numbers. If can't id what can we substitute? Is double hung windows, each sash weighs about 20lbs.

This house was built in 1988 and the windows are original. There are no mfg markings. The window do not stay open as the cords have come off. What is this part? I have six windows similar to this one and all six are noisy and hard to open?plus these little parts are all broken to some degree. Some are even missing. do you have instructions on how to replace the pivot shoe # 15-159? Our Malta windows are in great shape, except for the pivot shoes, which are all cracking and breaking. I hope it is easy to replace?

These are from a window marked Malta 7A8 The strings come down and connect to these, and one part sits on some kind of pin.

Looking to replace

Our Malta windows are 33 years old and in fairly good condition. We believe that the springs are OK, but the clips that attach to the window, that ride on the glider, are defective. Thank you so much for your assistance
